About Us

Serving Northern California (the northern San Joaquin Valley, San Francisco Bay area and the Sacramento area), Windows Alive began with creating color graphics and etched art for business, churches and homes. We've seen a large number of windows damaged by graffiti vandalism. As a result, we decided to fill this need and have been doing restoration since 2006.

Repair vs. Replacement : True Costs?

Million of tons of glass are dumped in landfills each year. As just one example, approximately 11-12 million windshields alone are replaced in the US on a yearly basis.

It takes about 250,000 BTU's to manufacture a 30 pound windshield - which produce about 53 pounds of CO2 emissions from a typical power plant!

A great quantity of the damaged glass could have been restored to new or near-new condition. Glass restoration uses almost no energy when compared to the amount of energy it takes to manufacturer and install new glass.

Making a Difference

We have a unique opportunity to restore materials, conserve resources and save energy. Educating people and our business partners about these benefits is part of our company's effort to make a difference.

There are a large number of decisions that we all make that impact the environment in a negative way.

The beauty of solutions like glass restoration and protection is that "you can all have your cake and eat it too": you save energy...and at the same time you save money... without lowering quality. It just makes common sense.

Anti-Graffiti Film to Prevent Damage

Etched Glass

The etching, scratching, painting, and marking of glass is an expensive and rapidly growing problem worldwide. Anti-graffiti films offer building owners and managers the opportunity to minimize the $12 billion annual cost associated with graffiti abatement in the United States.

When applied to surfaces that vandals often target, such as interior and exterior windows, mirrors, and other glass, the film provides protection by taking the brunt of graffiti damage. Paints, permanent markings, and other stains can be easily removed from the protective surface without the use of harsh chemicals.

The protective film also eliminates the expense of conventional graffiti cleanup and window restoration or the even costlier total replacement of graffiti-damaged equipment or property.

This optically clear, distortion-free film can be applied to windows, mirrors, and other surfaces. In addition to resisting damage from glass-etching solutions used by vandals, these films also offer other benefits by blocking heat, glare, and 99% of damaging UV rays.
